qkuest is an identity which holds the belief that life is a journey. it's personal, but vulnerable. genuine but raw.
within that, sharing hope, peace, perspective, sparking inspiration, or just creating a vibe, is what's manifested through the music.
hip hop stems from the early years in writing poetry. being surrounded by it brought that grit and poetry together. making music has always been a passion and now it's a reality, telling stories of truth.
in my debut album "coffee@midnight" there's that truth and grit. you can listen to it now on this page. and the hope is that you can vibe with it, be uplifted, relate, and connect.

there's no eternal value in material things. cars. clothes. shoes. drinks. jewelry. grills. cigars. houses. technology. money.
these can bring temporary pleasure, and there's nothing inherently wrong in having things. but what happens when those things have us? hip hop has adopted high value of these things to the point where it's been embedded into the culture of the music. but in my eyes the horse has long been dead and beaten, and I'm just so over and sick of the bragging. the truth is it will never go away though, which is why i made this song to be bold. Christ is eternal and holds the perfect value that no thing on this earth can. that's my treasure. i know where my salvation stands, and it ain't here in the things of earth. what about you?

a song dedicated to my 2 children, jovoni and essence.
this is truly a special release since they were adopted into our
family, but always felt like they were ours to begin with.
the toy story theme is cute and fun on the surface, but it actually
resembles a lot about what's in the song. always being there for our kids, never giving up on them, but above all, loving them through
every moment and season of their lives.
"sundaY HANGOVER"
an ode to the darker days of my past. Drinking turned from lighthearted fun to an eventual obsessive addiction. I spent countless Sunday mornings in the corner of a church pew hungover.
This track digs deeper than a rotted gut and brutal headache, into those thoughts and feelings mulling around my brain of mush during any given church service, often the sick result of the weekend that led up to it.

Hey Brown Eyez is that reminiscent vibe of wanting to make the girl you're in love with all yours. Genuine, charming, authentic.
Cheerleader is a personal nod to me and my wife's relationship, having that special someone in your life who loves and supports you through it all.
